I'm fostering a big ginger boy for 6 months for someone who can't have him for a while due to housing situation... he's lovely and cuddly , neutered . I want to keep him in for a few weeks obviously but he's normally a very outdoor cat and not used to a litter tray. I've put one by the back door but he hasn't used it yet .. got him yesterday afternoon ... he hasn't had a wee or a poo at all .. any advice ?

Be patient, he will when settled. Smile

My boy can go a long time without weeing or pooing. He'll then wee for Britain and practically fill half his litter tray. Seriously - he must be all bladder inside! His natural poo cycle seems to be once every other day 🤷🏼‍♀️. I wouldn't worry just yet. Most cats will use a litter tray quite happily once they need to.

Thanks both ... he's just been !!
He's a lovely boy and I want to keep him in for a few weeks at least till he gets his bearings 😺
