Hello all, hoping you can help with a problem we're having please.
We have a 10 year old cat, she's always been a farm cat, only came in to eat and then off out again. She lived with my parents just over the road but they took in another cat needing a home, sadly the elderly cat took off and didn't come home for 6 months.
By chance we found her last week and brought her back to our house, we're keeping her in for now and maybe indefinitely as she's old and may like an easy life.
So she's never used a litter tray at all, she's been good peeing in it and eventually realised she should poo in it too. But only during the day, at night she poos next to or in front of it.
Does anyone know why she's doing it and how we can stop it?
