Norwegian forest?

I recently adopted two lovely cats. Both amazing in their own ways but very different. One is short haired with amazing eyes and is so friendly. The other is the one that I am wondering if it could have some Norwegian forest cat in it.
He is a big boy and strong. His fur is long but he doesn't shed too much at all. He appears to be waterproof! When he goes out in rain, it just sits on the top of him. He is very friendly, purrs loudly and makes really cute chirruppy quiet miaows. He has a cute tongue that curls when he sticks it out.
Does anyone have any experience of Norwegian forest or think that he looks like any other sort of cat? It doesn't change how we feel about him at all but am just interested 🙂 he's also really hard to get a decent picture because as soon as he sees you he's running over to get attention. He's on the left in the picture with the two boys.

None of the internet pictures show it well, but UK breed Norwegian Forest have really distinctive ears with very point fluffy extending above their ears, they also have a very full face. I have seen a large number of NF cats over the last 20years (one of my clients was one of the first UK breeders) and he whilst very handsome is not obvious NF.

I did see that about ears and am pretty sure that he's not a full breed anything but he is also very unlike any other cat I've owned or known. Everyone comments on how huge he is and the size of his paws Grin
