Denamarin - long term?

My old cat was really poorly last week with an inflammed liver. I thought it was curtains. Anyway after being on a drip for a few days he has miraculously bounced back and is now really well.

I took him for a check up this morning and all is good.

He is on Denamarin. Does anyone know if this is a long term supplement. He's got enough for a couple of months, but I've just looked on Amazon and they're quite expensive. Obs I will have to stump up for it if necessary but was just wondering. I meant to ask the vet. Will do next time we have a check up.....

I'm not sure but bumping for you.
Our old girl had them along with other medication for a month (I think). She did have a repeat dosage at a later date but I can't remember how long for.
I would imagine the vet will do bloods to check how he is and recommend best plan.

Should he continue I would try other websites which are purely for pet medicines:- animeddirect.co.uk, petdrugsonline.co.uk (our vet recommended these sites to me albeit for different medication)or viovet.co.uk.
