Over grooming

I wonder if anyone has any experience and advice.

New adult rescue cat over grooms and has patchesnon his tummy with no fur. Recently adopted and it was pointed out but with no advice or treatment plan.

I've no experience and haven't had a chance to go to the vets or sort out pet insurance. Is this something we can deal with ourselves or does it need a vet?

I would see a vet. Have they been flea treated? Could also be food related. What food are they eating?

He can only have dried food as he vomits on wet. Yes been treated for worms/ fleas

Yes but which dry food? Is it grain free? Which flea treatment and was it a vet strength one? Or it could be behavioural I suppose and be stress related
