Freshly spayed kitties, worried about the wound

Both my 6 month old kittens were spayed today. We have cones of shame to put on them to stop them licking at it. One of them isn’t fussed and hasn’t bothered with the wound but the other one is being a pain. She’s rubbing it all over the floor and against stuff. I’m worried that she’s going to rub too hard and tear the stitches but obviously I can’t sit and watch her 24/7. Any advice?

My kitten was spayed a couple of weeks ago and after some intitial licking she left it alone. I was going to put on the cone but she relaxed pretty quickly.

I was about to put a baby vest in her to protect it - there are some examples online.

Her wound was stitched then glued - so the vet was pretty relaxed.

Did they give you any painkillers?

Thank you, yeah we have painkillers for them. One cat isn’t bothered, she hasn’t even licked at it but the other won’t leave hers alone and I’m worried she going to split it and it’ll get infected or the stitches will come out altogether. I’m going to separate them tonight because they keep play fighting. I’ll have a look into the vests. They’ve not got the cones on yet but I’m going to put them on them overnight

Hope it goes okay tonight. I think my little one was more upset about being away from home than the actual op. She slept under the covers right beside me the first night!
