How do you entertain an indoor cat?

I'm fostering a cat who is 8 months old and not able to go out as she carries the flu virus (she's fine herself).

All my other cats have gone outside and entertained themselves. She can't.

She doesn't know how to play with string/feathery things, looked blankly at the laser light thing, and taps a jingle ball once or twice then walks off. She has scratching post and toys. She does like her catmint mouse and will kick that for a while.

But mostly she hangs around me and purrs or chirrups for food. She seems bored!!

I left a kitchen towel in her room last night without thinking and it was shredded to bits in the morning so she likes doing that, but how the heck do I entertain her?

Get another cat Grin

I recommend getting 2. They keep eachother company & will play. Get them a good scratching post, some toys and nip! I got my cats a catnip ball for 99p. They bash it about, lick it & love it!

Also Primark bags are an endless source of play!

I'm not getting another cat!

You mean just normal primark carrier bags?? Will Tesco's do?!

She sounds like mine. Always bored but won’t go out. Has a degree in chirruping.
