I need to share my excitement. Just been to visit our new rescue kitten with my two children. She is 5 months old and a little shy still. We will be hopefully bringing her home next Monday 😁.

I've had cats before but not from a rescue and not since having children. Any handy tips gratefully received.

She looks a bit bedraggled still because she's been treated for ear mites but thankfully they are gone now.

Have you chosen a name yet?

Littlepic · 06/11/2018 17:07

My daughter wants to call her Lily. Happy to hear other ideas though!

She’s beautiful. Lovely name. Here’s my lily rescue cat.
Rescue cats are no different to other cats. Same needs. Patience when she comes. Let her have her own space and peace and quiet to settle. Enjoy xx

Google Jackson Galaxy, a US cat behaviourist.
Thanks for the lovely photos.

Oh she is lovely, these are our two 5 month rescue cats, we have had them for two months now and feels like forever, they were a to nervy to start with but quickly got the hang of love with us and now confident characters.

Soooo cute!! Rescue cats are so rewarding although some can be challenging.

Here's a pic of my Ebony age 4 (approx), I adopted her 10 months ago & she is only just getting over her shyness but still won't play go outside so she'll probably be an indoor cat now.

Aaah also gorgeous. She seems fairly confident already, which has surprised me! Fingers crossed it continues to go well.
