How much do your older kittens weigh?

I have two sibling boys who are nearly seven months old. One weighs 7lbs12ozs, the other 8lbs8ozs. That 12ozs difference makes a huge difference, the smaller one has noticeably smaller and finer bone structure and you can feel his ribs and I'm wondering if he's always going to be this way or if he'll catch his brother up. The other definitely has a good coating of fat and is much stockier in face and body. It'd be good if they were both somewhere in the middle.

Mine aren’t kittens anymore but the dainty tiny one is now a chunker and the more solid one is lighter. Blush

I had two brothers, one was always smaller and daintier than the other. I also fostered a couple of boys, one of whom was very poorly when he came to me and developmentally about a week behind. We didn't really expect him to make it at the beginning. The adopters tell me that he has nearly caught up with his brother in size, they must be about 6 months old now.

My boy kitten is almost 7 months and last time he was weighed he was 7lb. You can't feel his ribs, he is small but I wouldn't say he's skinny.

Ours are 6 month now. They were both recently at the vets to be neutered and weighed 2.4kg (5.3lbs) and 2.6kg (5.7lb). The vet said they were super healthy and had grown loads as they were both 1.2kg back in August for vaccinations.
But they seem lighter than others on here, they dont look it though. Both quite large now and have tubby bellies after eating!

Thanks for your replies. I think I need to focus on my larger boy rather than worrying about my lightweight.

Boris (left) definitely the bigger boned cat but also has more weight. I can't believe they're brothers as Ollie (right) has almost Oriental features from the side and he's smaller

So a regular domestic shorthair like mine, and yours? should weigh between 3-6kg as an adult cat, with most averaging at 4.5kg (9.9lb). I assume thats over 1 year for most cats. Oriental breeds usually a bit lighter.
