Oh now he's asleep on the bed completely zonked out looking as if butter wouldn't melt...
Yesterday he went out at mid-day for a stroll and didn't bother his behind to come in again. Despite calling from us every 10 minutes from about 5.00 onwards - no response from Karl. Fireworks started at about 6.30 - still no sign of cat. Went to bed at about 1.00 this morning having failed to find him and worrying about seeing him again.
Got up at 6.00 and the little sod is miaowing outside the front door. He's been asleep since.

Ha! Our hairy dictator does this every so often. I’m sure she does this to keep us on our toes. She probably sits in the tree behind our house laughing her arse off at us calling and rattling the Dreamiest packet. Git.

Aww look at his beautiful thick tail like a snow leopard! Surely anything is forgivable in cute Karl?

Karl is rather gorgeous though.
This is our wee sod

I like your duvet cover

One of ours does this. She either stays out all night and then sleeps all day on DD'S bed. Or sleeps all night on DD'S bed and disappears during the day. She is a law unto herself. It is worrying and I'm pretty sure she's getting fed somewhere else as she is not always interested in her food when she comes home.

I wouldn't particularly mind Karl staying out at night (Basil almost always chooses to) - it was his timing on fireworks night I really had a problem with!

I think they know when they're meant to stay in and rebel against it. Last year my black cat (see my post above) stayed out on fireworks night. The previous year she sat on the window sill and growled at them!
