Kitten with mouth ulcers - any help please? Any vets about?

Hi all. 2 weeks ago we rescued a kitten. She's about 16/17 weeks.
She came down with a cold (upper resp infection) we tried antibiotics, then tried a new one as the first wasn't doing anything. Now taken kitten back to the vet again, and she has mouth ulcers to top it all off.
Vet said to give pain relief gel in the mouth twice a day.
Anti-inflam liquid injected into mouth once a day.
Antibiotics injected into mouth once a day.
On top of that, vert recommended we inject liquid food in to her mouth regularly throughout the day too.

Forgive me, but we are new cat parents, but this is all just too much - kitten WANTS to eat and will eat soft food - can we forgo the trauma that is feeding her via syringe if she is willing to eat? Are we going to make ulcers worse?

Let her eat soft, mashed-up food if she wants it. See how she gets on.

Harry had mouth ulcers a while back and we just gave him soft food and let him eat it. He had his painkillers in the food. He is a lot older than your little one though so I don't know if that makes any difference.

I hope she's on the mend soon

Thanks guys - spoke to the vet again - apparently i misunderstood - IF she has trouble eating, then i'm supposed to inject the food - she's polished off three plates of wet food so thankfully think we're ok!
