Reggie (Eggy) is Home!

For those that followed, I decided last week to get a cat from the cats protection league. The fuzz bucket has taken to the room he’s allowed in like lord of the manor. He’s been here the grand total of 20 mins!

He’s already announced his displeasure at being confined to one room, so is now sat at the top of the stairs surveying his new world whilst we go about our lives downstairs.

He’s lovely isn’t he. He needs a good brush though. And I need another litter tray if he’s already going up and downstairs.
Dd is off to her dads tonight, and I’m out for dinner/cinema. I’m goibg to give him all upstairs (apart from DD’s room) and the hallway whilst I’m out. He can’t do too much damage there if he decides he wants too. To be fair sleeping does in fact appear to be his favourite past time.

Reggie appears to already have the nickname from me of Reggie fuzz bum. DD is not impressed at all with this name. 🤷🏼‍♀️😳

What a lovely boy. How old is he?

Be warned, even when you think you can't get into trouble, they can. We've had ours six weeks, went into kitchen this morning to find one of them quite happily sat on top of one of the wall units looking down. Seriously, though, enjoy him.

Good luck with the 'confining' thing. We started off with good intentions of where our little dictator was allowed to go, but unfortunately cat was far too cunning for us and can move like a stealth ninja.

I feel like I’m all PFB again and gave him a treat as he’s just used the litter tray for a poo!!

I think I’m giving up on confining when I’m in. He’s back upstairs now (after swiping DD’s foot) and lay back in the sunshine.

For a three legged cat he can’t half jump.

I originally declared the worktops and dining table off limits.

Over the years, this has continued to be the case and has, of course been challenged at regular intervals. I work on the basis that if Weezolcat is daft enough to break the rules while I'm in the same room, words will be had.

I even explained that when I was out she could do what she wanted and I'd never know. Apparently that's 'No fun, mama.'

He's a gorgeous cat! He looks quite happy surveying his new domain.

Reggie is slightly in the doghouse today. The old owners of the house had cats and just occasionally in summer I used to think I could smell where cats had been. Anyway Reggie decided most certainly he could and I’m sure he’s oversprayed.
It stinks. I’ve used antibacterial spray but google tell me this is rubbish. Anyway. I now have a black UV light torch to see where it is and I will be buying some proper urine remover from the Lino/door and kitchen cupboards.

But here is the handsome beast sneaking in for a cuddle.
