Kitten diarrhoea

14wo rescue kittens. One is absolutely fine but one is crapping syrup! He had it a couple of days after arriving two weeks ago and I assumed it was the changes etc, it sorted itself out within a day but he's had it again and today is day 2.

Any ideas on food etc or anything I can give to help? They are currently on Felix kitten wet food with whiskas kitten biscuits, which is what they had at their foster home. I make sure he has plenty of fresh water. He is fine in himself and has had no vomiting or anything else.

Have they been checked by a vet? Mine prescribed a pro kolin paste when one if mine had diarrhoea. Whiskas isnt a great dry food as it is mostly cereals rather than meat so I'd look to change that. Have they been getting wormed too?

Not yet no, as it went by itself last time I'd hoped it would this time or that some diet changes might work but if that's not the case then I will obviously go straight to the vet.

Thanks, will have a look into some different food.

Yes they were wormed just before they came two weeks ago.

Mine has had that but if fine with a grain free food and limited treats but it was a real pain and he still gets it if he has any other food.

Have they had their injections yet?

Friyay · 12/10/2018 23:16

Ah really? The foster home didn't mention it but I'll definitely give grain free a go. I feel like it must be food with it not affecting the other kitten. I imagine a bug would have passed on.

Yes they have before they came. They came from RSPCA so came flead wormed chipped neutered and vaccinated!
