I've been feeling pretty down as have just had some surgery and been given some bad news. I've been thinking of getting a kitten for a while and thought now would be a good time to cheer myself up and have something else to focus on.

im so sorry to hear you have received bad news. a kitten sounds great, or maybe a rescue cat? there are lots at the RSPCA x

Sorry you're going through a tough time. Hope things get better for you soon. Cats can be lovely company, especially if you get a snuggly one. Visit a rescue organisation and they'll be able to match you with a little furry friendFlowers

Kittens are adorable but they can be very destructive and also very energetic (read: potentially crazy).

You may find that adopting a young adult rescue cat is easier for you. I also recommend visiting the shelter. Rescue pets are often lovely.

I agree kittens are delicious.
However you have to be realistic having surgery could you cope running around after fiesty mischievous kitten. I second a rescue cat
