I haven't used it yet, but I've got some Panacur worming paste, in the hope that at least some of it will get swallowed as opposed to a tablet which could be a complete rejection. I

Profender- it's a spot on. Only available from the vets though.

IStandWithPosie · 04/10/2018 19:00

Thanks both!

We use Profender for Harry

Wolfiefan · 04/10/2018 19:26

Definitely profender.

dementedpixie · 05/10/2018 19:02

We use profender too

IStandWithPosie · 05/10/2018 19:15

So I took them to the vet today and they don’t do profender, they gave them Broadline to cover fleas and worms (they were due a flea treatment on Sunday) and said they will need something once a year for another type of worm? Is profender better, cover all worms? or can I stick with Broadline? I was going to order Broadline from 365vet as it’s cheaper than my vets, so I need to get a prescription. I’m assuming the vet will have a copy of the prescription on their system from today so do I just ask for that or does the vet need to see the cats every time I want to order online and issue a new prescription? Also, would the same prescription cover profender as I see I can order it online with a prescription too.

Profender covers tapeworm. My 2 get a combined flea/ worm treatment (stronghold plus) but it doesn't cover tapeworm so every 6 months they get profender

dementedpixie · 05/10/2018 19:19

Looks like broadline covers tapeworm so don't know which it doesn't do

IStandWithPosie · 05/10/2018 19:21

Hmm, I’m taking one cat back on Wednesday for dental work so i’ll Ask again about the worm that it doesn’t cover.

We get a worming tablet from the vets. Do you buy those stick treats for your cat ? What I do is get a skewer and make a hole in the treat, then I push the tablet down into the hole and push it closed again and then just feed it to your cat !

dementedpixie · 05/10/2018 19:25

I wonder if it's heartworm you need the other treatment for

I’ve found this which has slightly confused me. The picture says “tapeworm, heartworm, hookworm, round worm” but the text below says “roundworm, tapeworm and bladderworm”
