Cat flap problem

Our puppy crashes through the cat flap but I don’t want him outside on his own, he’s a bad barker. If I lock the cat flap our poor cat can’t get in or out when he needs.
Must we get an expensive cat flap which is opened by the cat’s collar? I don’t want him wearing a cumbersome collar and also wonder if the pup would be able to follow the cat through.
Pup is never going to grow too big to get through a cat flap. Any ideas, please?

Get a SureFlap. They work with a microchip so no need for a collar. Expensive but worth it.

But pup has a microchip too. Wouldn’t a SureFlap open for him?

No Grin
You program it for each pet, so it recognises their microchip. It doesn’t open for any pet with any microchip.

The DualScan microchip cat flap is £65 and this website has 15% off if it’s your first order
