Carrying cat in

One of our cats has always been a little cautious about going through doors etc. Now however he has surpassed himself and when I open the door to let him in he rolls on his tummy and demands to be carried in. It's like some regression to the time of the Pharaohs and he needs a slave to carry him in. He is otherwise fit and healthy - climbs trees, jumps onto roofs, etc. Not overweight. Generally not keen on being picked up unlike his sister who frequently mistakes herself for a doll If I don't carry him in he stays out there. It is only at night time, during the day he is capable of coming and going quite happily. Is he the most entitled cat on MN?

Mine does this sometimes. More than able to use a cat flap, he suddenly decides to stare through it meowing pitfufullý until someone idiotically opens the door and gets him.
