My kitten swallowed wool

Just that really. She's 6 months old and a hoover, and she stole some an off cut of wool I'd just cut from my crochet, ran off with it and wolfed it down.

She's at the vets now, they're going to try to make her sick (got her there within an hour), if not it's an operation.

I'm so worried, and feel it's my fault. Just needed a hand hold really Sad

Completely not your fault! She's a kitten they play with wool. Hope you are insured and she's ok.

how much wool did she swallow? I wouldn't worry too much tbh.

Hmmingbird · 27/09/2018 12:46

Just had a call from the vet, they managed to make her sick and it's all come up, thank god. It was about 5 inches of wool, vet was really concerned it would wrap around her gut.

Silly moggy. Need to go pick her up soon, and settle the £150 bill. Just so happy she's ok! [santa]GrinGrinGrinGrinGrin

And yes, totally insured thank goodness. That could have been expensive if they had to operate

My colleagues had a kitten that did the same thing. He had to be operated on.

Hmmingbird · 27/09/2018 16:41

She's home, we were so lucky that we got her seen within an hour of swallowing it. Any longer and they would have had to operate. I now have kitten and wool safely home Grin

Toddler - was he ok? I was so worried they'd have to do that to Ellie.
