Will obviously take her to the vet tomorrow, but should I be panicking?
She seems ok, if a bit restless.
I first noticed this afternoon maybe 3ish?
Kicking self I didn't call the vet then.Sad

Have you seen any "output"? Cystitis or constipation likely... With cystitis you usually see them do small amounts of urine frequently, possibly with blood in it.

hugoagogo · 26/09/2018 21:46

No, she doesn't seem to be actually producing anything.
She usually prefers to go outside if given the chance, but we have the tray just in case.

Yes, probably Cystitis. In any case, she needs to see a vet tomorrow

Wolfiefan · 26/09/2018 21:50

If she’s actually unable to pass urine I wouldn’t leave it till the morning.

hugoagogo · 26/09/2018 21:54

Tricky.

She needs a vet. Make it a priority or it'll just cost you more money to sort out as well as her being very comfortable.

Wolfiefan · 26/09/2018 22:03

Not tricky if she is unable to pass urine and hasn’t been like that for 6 hours. Confused

student26 · 26/09/2018 22:06

No, take her to a vet now. If she hasn’t been able to pee she will be in a lot of pain and it is an emergency. Our cat had this and immediately had to be catheterised and they did something else to clear the blockage. I would call the vet up now as it is life theeatening. All the best to her.

Vinorosso74 · 26/09/2018 22:42

You should be able to speak to a veterinary nurse at the out of hours vet and they will advise what to do but it is likely they will want you to take her in.

hugoagogo · 26/09/2018 22:47

I spoke to ooh and they said it was probably ok to leave until the morning. I am however waiting for a taxi to take me there.

Wolfiefan · 26/09/2018 22:57

Hope all goes well. We had a similar emergency dash with a boy cat many years ago. Worried me stupid but he was fine.

BlueEyedBengal · 26/09/2018 23:02

Hope she is going to be fine for you, you are doing all you can for her. If you can o p let us know when you get back how it went.

hugoagogo · 26/09/2018 23:44

Oh no! Hope she's ok

Do you mind sharing how much it was (ball park) and what that was for?

Toddlerteaplease · 29/09/2018 10:34

The OP went to the OOH so it will be mega bucks. My OOH charges £120 just to be seen.

ifonly4 · 29/09/2018 10:41

How's your girl now?

hugoagogo · 29/09/2018 14:56

She is on the mend. Smile

We got a urine sample from her and it confirmed she has a uti. Our own vet is now treating it and seems pretty confident nothing worse is going on.

Not a cheap experience; especially the ooh bit Shock, but another reminder of how important it is to have them insured.
