Hi everyone!
We are the parents (read: slaves) to a beautiful little 8 month kitten. She’s very spoilt and seems happy enough, but I’m concerned she’s lonely. We work from home 3 days a week between us, but we’re worried about her boredom on the days we’re not there. We think she just sleeps, but we’re not sure.
Our thinking is that we might introduce a little sister for her...
Does anyone have any experience of introducing kittens this close in age? Do you think it’s a good idea or should we just stay with the one?

Cats don't generally seek out the company of other cats, so I wouldn't necessarily get her a friend. It might work out but it might notConfused. You are at home with her a fair amount of time, so I wouldn't worry too much. She probably spends a lot of her time snoozing with a little bit of play in between. As long as she has toys and bits to play with, she'll be happy enough.

You just want another puss, don't you Grin

I had that gap with mine and it’s the best thing I ever did. Even if it just made me feel less guilty. They proper play with each other and I think it’s good exercise for them chasing each other. Do it!

Cats DO naturally seek the company of other cats - hence feral cats tend to form colonies.

Introductions should be easier if both cats are young. So yes, go for it and with proper introductions hopefully they'll be friends in no time.

I was wondering about this with my 18 month old girl Ellie. She's alone since my old cat passed away in July.
I have just read a heart rending story on cats protection about a little boy cat who's 2 and need a home. He s so beautiful and black
