Anyone had any success with getting their cat to sleep in a cat bed? Or I am just being foolish & need to learn that I am privileged to wake up with dcat on my chest UNDER the duvet with me?

I'm thinking she's possibly cold at night so was looking at one of these...thoughts?

We had one of those...she sat on it for a short while and then went back to our bed!

My friends whippet though, loves his version of it

Cardboard box with a blanket you've slept with might be more enticing was for mine from time to time!

Mine use their igloo type beds occasionally but mostly they sleep on the beds and hammocks high up in their cat trees either in my bedroom or in the living room.

Fatty and Snorg had five and they were all used. Cheddar doesn't use any of them but she's more cat like than the other two!

Thanks guys. I might try a box & blanket to begin with in the bedroom. She's still fairly young so likes being near us (I think, who knows what they actually think!)

Wicker basket from Sainsbury's with a blanket in it. Or a cardboard box. Special cat beds are purely decoration use only.

Mine loves his igloo bed with a real sheepskin liner spoilt

Snorg loves her Teepee.

Ours ignored all beds until we bought them a faux fur lined cushion bed, then two tried to get in at the same time, gave up, and would wait by the side until the occupier got out and hop in, repeat on cycle all night. So we went and bought a second, only from Aldi or Lidl, I forget which.

As the cat sees it, she's already got her cat bed, no need to waste money!

Dancingfairydreams · 27/09/2018 13:55

We've compromised....she's under the throw not the duvet 😂😂😂 she took one look at the box with blankets & pretty much laughed at me!

I’ve tried every type of bed for my boy..he has shunned all. At least someone appreciates a cat bed

Dancingfairydreams · 28/09/2018 22:09

Oh my God that's so cute!
