Uses for convenia?

I though this was used for skin infections but my friends cat appears to have been given this for smelly breath? Any idea why this might have been - there was no skin infection. Thanks

Its a broad spectrum, long acting antibiotic that is often used for animals that are difficult to tablet. If they suspect infection in the mouth it is a reasonable thing.
