Best kitten shampoo??

Hi all

Got my beautiful fluffy little kitten 4 weeks ago.
Then found out he had ringworm (which he's now given to me...Thanks chipcat!)

Vet reckons after another week of treatment it will all have gone.

Unfortunately because of the ointment he looks like he has been dipped head first in a chip pan

I want my fluffy boy back, what shampoo should I use to bath him?

Cats shouldn't ever really be bathed. Some people do that, but it's not really necessary. It doesn't matter about your kitten looking greasy. That will wear off.

I've had cats for 38 years, never ever needed to bath one.

Just leave him!

We don't wash ours often, but he's got himself into trouble with paint and stuff (whole tin of emulsion all over the kitchen floor!) and used this. Doesn't have a smell unlike the wipes. When we've washed him with the shampoo it hasn't bothered him, but we used cat wipes on him once and he hated it! He spent ages grooming himself after.

Just a tip, we find it easier to sit him in the sink and have a big bowl filled with warm water and the shampoo then just dip the sponge in that to wash him. He wouldn't tolerate sitting in the water. Wrapped him in a big towel after and towel dried him.

Amazon sell waterless shampoo - you squirt it onto the cat, rub it in, then rub it off. It's worked on our smelly fox poo cat.
