It's coming up to one year anniversary of the day I lost my Rubycat. She was knocked down and killed just feet from our house.
I have a kitten who is my baby and the joy in my life but this week I m finding it so hard.
I just miss her so much still.
I know nobody can help really. I m just alone tonight and it's playing on my mind.

Hand hold. All I can say. I understand and much hugs Flowers

She had such an expressive face! I'm sure she knew how much she was loved. X

Commemorations to little Rubycat :)

You're really not alone, lots of us really miss our furry friends and understand what it's like.

You'll have to do something nice for her anniversary to remember her with love

I m going to put her picture up by the spot where she passed away and tie red ribbons on the lamp posts. Also red flowers.
She was my rescue cat. Already had her name when I got her. She was skinny and had had 3 litters of kittens, was flea ridden and locked outside by ex owners. They told me they didn't want her as she was a feral cat. So untrue. She loved humans and us all. Only problem was she liked to go off sometimes but always came home until that day.

Please don't feel guilt - she had a lovely life with you. Ribbons and flowers and pic sound like a nice way of remembering her. I'm sure she'd send you a purr if she could

MrsCatE · 08/09/2018 01:36

At least she had you and your family. X

She was gorgeous and so sorry that you lost her. The fact you still miss her is testament to how special she was Flowers

Big hugs Flowers She looks like a lovely cat. We had a rescue cat too and kept her original name. She was very timid and hid under a blanket and then behind the fridge the first day we got her. The rescue lady said, 'hmm, I don't think this one will be a very friendly cat'. How wrong she was. Within days she was curled up on my tummy on the sofa, kneading my clothes and purring. She loved to chat to us. She would follow me around the house if I was doing chores and watch me. If I was sick she would jump up on my bed and snuggle next to me. She would pat my face eith her oaw to wake me up in the morning. However shit my day was, seeing her when I got home and having cuddles would make it all better. She was hit and killed by a car outside our house just over a month ago. I knelt next to her on the pavement and howled while the neighbours stood around awkwardly. I miss her so much and think about her every day. I've saved her special towel that she would wait for us to spread out on the 'best sofa' before she jumped up on it, her dishes and her cuddle toys that came with her from the rescue. I talk to her every day. It's a comfort to come here and find others who understand how important and loved and loving our pets are, and don't minimise the pain of losing them. Flowers to you on the anniversary of the loss of your dear kitty
