Because you love a kitten pic....

This is our new boy, currently in foster with a rescue centre. We’re getting him and his brother at the weekend (brother is a short haired tabby). Brother is the runt of the litter so we’re going to call him Wilbur in honour of the runt pig in Charlotte’s Web, and because the kids love Winnie the Witch and Wilbur is her cat. But this chap needs a name...I quite like the idea of naming them both after witches’ cats in children’s books and calling this one Mog (have checked in the dc’s stories and Mog as in Meg is a boy!). What do you think?

Oh I thought you were calling this one Winnie to go along with Wilbur. I misread, but I actually think Winnie and Wilbur sound cute together. (Winnie short for Winston, although I don’t think cats mind gendered names anyway)

Ski37 not yet,he was running around too much to get a clear one! Will post some when we bring them home. I’m liking Crookshanks. No one likes Mog then...?

So they’re home! The kids were adamant that the name is Mog, so here’s Mog and Wilbur. They’re settling in nicely and have both been on my lap doing mega-purrs all night after charging around like mad beasts. Haven’t introduced them to our resident cat yet, taking that one slowly!

They like the cat tree! Resident cat is 2. She’s been sniffing around the door of the room they’re in so we’re going to try a mesh baby gate they can see each other through next.
