Sicky kitten

Am fully prepared to be told I'm being an anxious kitten mama but our little 8 month old girl is not well. Arrived home with DP after an evening out to find she'd been very sick in the kitchen. She was cowering under the table. We cleaned it and gave her fuss but she's been sick another 7/8 times since 11pm.

She's totally not herself and I'm a tad worried. She did steal a small piece of roast chicken off the side in the kitchen earlier so I'm wondering if it's that?

Am first time cat owner so not really sure what's normal here.

I would call the out of hours vet. Can't be too careful with persistent vomiting in one so tiny x

I would call a vet also. Make sure she has water as cats, like humans, dehydrate after vomiting.

How long have you had her and where did she come from? It's common for cats to be sick once (I often come home from work to find one of them has been sick) but vomiting multiple times is concerning. I agree emergency vet would be your best bet.

Thanks all. Called OOH vet who was lovely and said to watch and wait til morning and if she hadn't stopped/ drunk anything by then to bring her in. I set alarms and kept getting up to check on her. She wasn't sick again and when I got up just now I found her batting her little ball around on the bathroom floor and chasing it so she seems brighter. She's also drunk some water now.

We got her at 12 weeks from Cats Protection and she was such a tiny, weak little thing. even though she's bigger and more robust now at 8 mo I still worry!

Just to check, is she spayed?

petalflowercherrybomb · 02/09/2018 09:05

Yeah spayed a couple of months ago. Has never shown any interest in the outside world. Just potters with us in the garden if we're out but if she's out there on her own will just cry to be back in so don't think she's eaten anything nasty out there
