My cat scratched me as I was trying to cut her claws. She bounced off me meanwhile scratching my legs. They're Small, but as I was going for the bath I noticed they were both Purple?? Like blood had leaked or something. Could it be infected or is it fine?

I would guess not infected, looks like blood that's already scabbing & healing to me. As long as it's just the actual line of the scratch it should be fine, if there's any infection you would tend to see an area around the scratch look a bit pink and/or hot.

That is bruising around the cat scratch. Infected ones swell really quickly last time my hand was twice the size within 5 hours. Occusistionsl hazard.

Oh my gosh that's really bad! Thank you for the replies. I thought it might be bruised as well
