Getting mum and kitten today

We've both had cats before and my elderly cat died a few years ago and we decided we'd like another cat or two. Today we are getting mum, who has now been spayed, and a female kitten who will need to be spayed. Mum turned up in friend of a friend's shed and gave birth btw.

Any top tips? I've got the food they are used to and the same litter. Mum will be leaving three of her kittens behind.

When I first had cats I barely gave it a thought. Now I am much more concerned about getting them settled and them being happy in their new home.

Start them off in one room with all their things for a few days. Be extra careful with windows and doors to avoid escapes.

Take photos to share with us. Wink

I'm sure you've got all they need, littler tray and litter, scratch post to start them off with, maybe a cardboard box for them to hide in if they're timid cats? A cat bed and tree? Food and bowls.

Let's see them soon!Grin
