That's great. Celia Hammond's will also neuter for free if people can't afford our usual fee of £25. However very often the only way I can persuade people to take advantage of it is if I offer a collect and drop off service too. And people who can't afford neutering often don't have a carrier either. There is a hard core of people that I don't think charities will ever reach. Still - everything helps!

Oh that’s a good point - hadn’t thought about getting them to & fro Sad

But yes, every little helps Smile

Most of London is covered by the C4 scheme for free neutering if owner is on benefits, or most Cats Protection branches here offer vouchers that are not means tested.

Still every day I read about unneutered cats in the local Facebook group... Angry

These things and the C4 scheme etc are good but I honestly don't know how many people know about it. Yes , there are so many people who just don't give a hoot and there is a level of ignorance. A friend of mine thought a female cat shouldn't be spayed until she'd had kittens (disclaimer she doesn't have a cat and is unlikely to but still). You also get the mindset of it being "cruel" to neuter.
I do despair!
