Cat vomiting pink mucus

DISCLAIMER: we have an emergency vet appointment for him later today.

My elderly former-stray cat has thrown up some pinkish mucus.

Does anyone know what this could be? Dr Google isn't helping.

I wormed him and his (non-related) siblings about two weeks ago and found worms in their poo afterwards. And one of his (non-related) brothers was sick last week - but no blood in it. Just for background info.

All cats acting normally otherwise. Eating and drinking well.

I have no clue. Cats do seem to randomly vomit from time to time for what appears to be no reason and seem none the worse for it. I generally only worry if it carries on for a day or so or if there are other symptoms.

It's never a bad idea to get them checked out though.
