They never forget!

Not just the taking ages to forgive you after trip to the vet/leaving them behind while you go on holiday/trip to the cattery stuff. All the good stuff too.

I've been popping in to feed my sister's cat this week while she's been on holiday. I've been doing mornings and my mum's been doing evenings. He's 9 now but my sister and I rescued him as a 10-week-old (approximation by vet). He had been abandoned in town and was found crying in the middle of a road. He spent the first few months we had him following me around and sleeping either on my pillow next to my head or under the duvet curled in some crook of my body.

All this week when I've popped in to see him he's been there to greet my car, demanded cuddles and we have spent most of the morning snuggled together on the sofa, just like when he was a tiny kitten. My mum is most upset as he's never been here when she's come round! I'm telling myself it's because he remembers 😊

That's so sweet. You and your sister did a wonderful thing. He's lovely.
Good to know they remember the good stuff too!

Snorg is like a. Elephant, but not because she remembers things. But because she sounds like a heard of them!

I think they just know 😻

I'm now leaving mine for a week so I will be coming back home next week to the stink eye instead of cuddles!

Mine have only just forgiven me for having a strange dog here for one night - he's gone home and now they are wrapped around my ankles demanding fuss and treats. (They had free rein of food and kitchen at night while dog was here so not tossed out on the street). They live with and quite happily boss our own dog around but stridently object to the strange gallumphing idiot who visits every six months or so.
