Kitten food

We’re getting 2 kittens tomorrow and the only thing I haven’t bought yet is food because I can’t make my mind up! Basically 3 questions...

  1. Do they need kitten food as opposed to cat food, both wet and dry?
  2. Which brands are best? Seems a total minefield! Definitely not raw.
  3. How much wet and dry per day or do I just need to wait and see?

Thank you very much. Cute kitten pics to follow!

Yes they need kitten foods and you might have to soften the biscuits with water.

I would go for a cereal free one and feed on demand as they grow incredibly quickly and need a lot of food.

Spaniel We asked the previous people who had the kitten what he ate before and got that and slowly weaned him onto better stuff.
We have wet and dry food.
He has wainwrights biscuits and wet food.
Usually kittens are fed 4 times a day. We fed 4 X 0.5 pouch as was finding he was was only eating a bit.
Ours is now 5.5 months old and he has a pouch AM, biscuits down all day to munch on and then a pouch PM. Though he's not been eating much in this hot weather, mostly eating when it cools down about 8-9pm.

Hope that helps!

Natures menu kitten food is decent (pets at home)

Use what they already eat to start with and change over gradually if required.

P.s. I left dry out all the time and gave wet food 3 or 4 times a day. I still leave dry out and give wet food a couple of times a day and they are now 1and a half
