Oooh, yes. Going for the contrast approach was a good decision. Those gorgeous cats look as though they approve!

userofthiswebsite · 28/07/2018 17:15

Reminds me of the cat belonging to my old next door neighbours, pure white, one blue and one green eye.
Not particularly friendly though sadly.

LemonRedwood · 28/07/2018 17:15

The sofas will be white in no time 😂

hugoagogo · 28/07/2018 17:17

They look great now, but give it a few minutes and they will be covered in fur.Grin

Id buy a hand held vacuum cleaner. We had three white chinchilla Persians when I was young.

Vinorosso74 · 28/07/2018 21:54

Beautiful contrast and a very brave move!

jaxhwc · 29/07/2018 02:00

Fluffycloudland77 I just googled chinchilla Persians, beautiful

I found a stiff brush works well on the fabric so I'm not too worried.

I actually (stupidly) didn't consider the fur issue when I ordered them but we have a black dog so can't win either way.

We used to have a beautiful white cat, and a black school uniform.....

Allergictoironing · 29/07/2018 08:54

I got black cats (dark brown sofa, tend to wear darker clothes). Unfortunately they are smoke, so as well as the longer black hairs I also get silvery fluffy undercoat everywhere - worst of both worlds!

Ski37 · 30/07/2018 22:29

Your cat matches your sofas as well as mine matches my carpet 😂
In his defence I had the carpet before I adopted him so it’s not really his fault..... he could at least try and stop shedding so much fur though🙀

No they don't match... but they soon will! (Because the sofas will be white too Wink).

Gorgeous kitties 💜

jaxhwc · 31/07/2018 01:04

Not doing too badly here with the fur, actually I've found my sons mucky yoghurt/biscuit/mushed food hands are more of a problem. It would seem black actually shows up a lot of things! Of course the cats are what attracts him to the sofas in the first place. He's fortunately still got 2 eyes in tact for now.

Ski37, what a gorgeous slinky cat! I used to have one similar, she was lovely.

Your new sofa brings out your cats very well!

My grey cat is camo on my grey sofa. I lost him at the weekend... found him stretched out on the sofa I just hadn’t spotted him!!!

jaxhwc · 01/08/2018 00:09

serbska very funny!

Oh god I have an apricot rag doll and this picture gives me anxiety

Squeakyheart · 03/08/2018 22:42

I had a ginger cat and purposely bought a carpet to match his fur, including taking a clump to the shop to check! Does show your cats off beautifully though!

jaxhwc · 04/08/2018 00:02

Hahaha! It's actually a brilliant fabric for removing hairs, a kind of faux suede. I just brush them off with a dustpan brush. Our last one was woven and they got caught in there all the time.

That's a very good idea squeaky!!
