Neutered male cat spraying us

DD and I have both been sprayed recently at different times by our male cat. He stood on us and sprayed our heads. Was stood upright, not squatting. He doesn’t have a UTI or seem stressed. It was just urine, not smelly. He has a twin brother who he gets on with (they sleep together and groom each other). He doesn’t spray around the house.

Any thoughts?

How long has he been neutered?

My boy cat would spray if I don’t let him out on time or if the litter tray hasn’t been done on time (so normally when I just get in from work🙄). He’s been neutered about 2 years.

Never on me but near me.

Recently he’s taken to just threatening instead, with his tail in the air and aiming his bum until I scramble to meet his requests.

If he’s only recently been neutered it could still be a part of his behaviour.

He’s nearly 5 and was neutered as a kitten. But he was agitating to go out both times as we’d just got up. Maybe that’s it!
