Where to store wet food

I feed my cats James Wellbeloved wet food, which I store in a "cool, dry" place as per the instructions. With this incredibly hot weather though I'm worried that keeping it in the kitchen cupboard could be too warm! Would it be better to refrigerate it at the moment?

I've only been keeping open food in the fridge, a friend recently recommended putting food in the fridge in advance at the moment because her cat had been off her food until she did.

It's fine; it's packed to last much like tinned tuna and meat for human consumption is.
