Teeth cleaning

At their last annual check up it was discovered that our cats have really inflamed sore gums, so we've had to book them all in for a scale and polish at the vets tomorrow 😳

As stupid as it sounds I am really worried about them being knocked out, essentially to have their teeth cleaned - has anyone else had to do this?

We've had this done with one of ours - I ended up worrying the whole time too!
But it's quite a quick and straightforward procedure, so they should be out for a minimal amount of time. Your vet should go through everything when you book them in, and you can speak to them if you have any concerns.

Our Dcat was fine, btw. In fact she seemed quite a lot happier afterwards, although she had quite bad teeth beforehand.

Thank you for the reassurance. I have no children so the furry ones are my babies Grin

And the first challenge will be to get them in their pet carriers 😂
