Dead animals

Pregnant and cat bringing home dead animals almost daily. Anyone experienced this? Not sure they're gift for me? He usually prefers my partner so I can't imagine they would be.

Just found 2 dead birds under the bed and thus morning a birds nest on the mat.

Any advice appreciated.

Apparently you're supposed to make a fuss of them (the cat not the dead animal that is Grin ) to say thank you for the gift.

If you don't maybe they think it's not good enough so keep bringing more in!?

They're a gift for you and baby. Wink
One of our Dcats only started hunting when my DM fell pregnant. Though I think she saw the baby as partly hers - she used to bite DM's ankle if baby cried while she was holding her.

I don't really know how to discourage them. Just accept gracefully then throw them away when Dcat's back is turned.

I woke up to the sound of my cat crunching his way through a bird the other morning - that was nice.
