Stop me from feeling guilty

So my 2 beauties are currently on 13hr plane ride to me after being separated from them for months. I am ecstatic I will have them home with me and our family will almost be complete.

The process of getting them flown here has been a nightmare and had to change many times because of various setbacks.

Finally I found someone to bring our dog and 2 cats on a plane but the dog (DH's) wasn't able to come yet because of paperwork so ended up just cats this trip.

Now I told him many times they were flying into an airport which is 6 1/2hr drive away and he would have to get them from there and was he ok with the long drive?

I just said now "you know, you're going to have to leave at 2am to get there in time "etc etc. and he was shocked like he had no idea they weren't coming to the airport near us and it just hit him then he had to drive for 12hrs the following day!

I feel absolutely terrible because he's just started a new job and this week has been crazy, we just moved into a new apartment today and now he has to drive all that way to get my cats and he didn't even realise!!

It's his fault though isn't it? If I told him and he didn't listen. Thing is also I know he's not that fond of my cats either and he just said under his breath "those bloody cats"

Feeling very guilty but should I?

It's long journey, yes, but there's not much you can do about it. When your dog travels, could you get a pet courier to collect him from the airport, if you're unable to make the journey? It'll all be fine. You must be very excitedGrin
