Major surgery tomorrow. Feeling the fear.

Little girl had her toe amputated just over a week ago. Today, the vet calls to say she has cancer. The amputation didn't have clear margins (no margins, never mind not clear). I asked if this meant leg amputation and basically yes, tomorrow.

She's 15 and already had a general anaesthetic within the last 10 days. She's only 2.8kg.

Please keep claws crossed for her

She's out but staying overnight. Completely out of it on the pain meds and needs to eat, wee and walk before they'll let her out but she's wearing a babygrow 😿

She looks so sweet.

Hope recovery goes well

MrsPawsitive · 10/07/2018 21:09

Hope her recovery is going well today and that she is back to her familiar routine very soon... she looks like such a dear little thing!

fluffypudcats · 11/07/2018 19:25

She's home. She's eaten, drunk water, had a wee, purred and is now dozing in the most humanly inaccessible corner of the room! They've taken her babygrow off as she's not trying to lick the wound. Her tail is ridiculous though! It's really thin anyway but it's been shaved for a painrelief patch to be taped on.

She looks comfy.

Want2beme · 11/07/2018 20:21

Oh, hope she feels much better soon, poor wee thing. Flowers for both of you.

Toddlerteaplease · 11/07/2018 21:14

Snorg has a bandage round her tail when she was in hospital. They took it off before she came home but her tail was absolutely soaked with wee. She doesn't walk with her tail up so she left a trail round the house!

rupertpenryswife · 11/07/2018 21:52

Wishing good things for kitty's recovery, what a sweet little girl.

Threetoedsloth · 11/07/2018 22:18

Little love. Sending purrs and snuggles from my three.

fluffypudcats · 11/07/2018 22:27

Thank you all. She's calm and sleeping but hasn't come for a cuddle yet. Instead, we've had some cuddly purry snuggles on the floor together. Boy cat still goes into reverse when this weird thing looks at him
