Travel with cat

Do any of you have advice/tips on travelling with a cat on a long journey by train?

How can I make it as stressfree for the cat as possible? What do you do about toileting etc?

Thanks.

It's a difficult one. You could spray some Feliway around the carrier. How long is the journey?

If I expect a cat to be in a carrier for a long time then I put puppy training pads in the bottom of the carrier. You will have to be firm about not opening the carrier on the train. Too much could go wrong. I suppose if you absolutely have to get rid of poo you could try opening the carrier in the toilet. As long as there are no open windows and the toilet lid is closed and the door is securely locked.

Put a cover over the carrier. Mine are good car travellers. But it seems to calm
Them down.

Thanks for advice.

Will invest in puppy pads to be on safe side.

Will also take blanket.

Journey will be about 3 & 1/2 hours.
