How to keep kitten cool?

We have a 6 month old long haired moggie girl who we love dearly. She is currently being kept in following her spay as she still has stitches in. Have noticed today she is panting a lot and leaving 'sweaty' paw prints. I'm worried she's getting too hot. I've put some fans on for her and she had ice cubes in her water bowl but do you have any other suggestions for keeping her cool in the house? Worried she will overheat!

Is she drinking enough?

Wet food is better than dry food in these conditions (only put down a bit at a time, to prevent it getting all dry and manky)

Is there a possibility that she has an infection from the op and is running a temperature?

She does seem to be drinking plenty. We're at the vets in the morning to have the stitches out so will ask them about possible infection

Mine likes to sleep in the bathroom sink on hot days!

You could fill a hot water bottle with chilled water and wrap with a towel, if you don't have time to get a cool mat.
