Mysteriously stopped throwing up...!

Our cats had an issue with vomiting since we got her nearly 3 years ago. She'd throw up once a day nearly every other day. Had her checked by vets, numerous tests and opinions deducted nothing wrong with her physically, changed her diet multiple times - nothing helped. We love her so just accepted it as a part of her. However, it's been nearly two weeks and she hasn't thrown up once. I'm totally bemused as to why, we haven't changed anything about our lifestyle, products used, food... nothing. I just don't understand. The ONLY thing that's changed is that two weeks ago, we found out I was pregnant. Now, I know this is unlikely to be the reason. But.... cmon..... throwing up all her life, nothing medically wrong, then the same time we're early pregnant, she stops. How bloody strange is all of this. !!

Hopefully, she's grown out of it now. Is she longhaired? My longhaired cat who was PTS last year was a pukerGrin. It drove me crazy, as he wasn't at all considerate where he did it and many a carpet was ruined by him. Regardless, I loved him dearly.

When our cat kept throwing up he was prescribed a steroid injection, it worked like a dream. He’s stopped throwing up altogether now though. So if she starts again ask the vet for a steroid injection.

@Want2beme yes she's a long haired - she's a rag doll, gets groomed daily to try and lessen hairballs etc, but generally she'd throw up what was visibly food a hence lots of change of diet but didn't seem to change

@DontMentionTheWar never heard of this! Will definitely put question to vet if it re occurs, as anti sickness tablets worked but aren't a long term fix

You're welcome @sirmione16.

Does she eat grass? Both of my cats eat grass everyday and don't vomit, as I believe it helps with their digestion.

@Want2beme she's an indoor cat so no grass, however when she does come outside (supervised) the first thing she heard for is grass to eat which makes her throw up a couple minutes later. Apparently this is the point and it helps with their system but honestly she throws up so much why should she be made to do it more I reckon /: poor baby
