un-neutered tom

Hi,

Would an un-neutered male be calling out for a female? There is a young female around at the moment and the way she is pushing her arse towards him is telling me she hasn't been done. I'm pretty sure the male hasn't been done but his owner says yes he thinks he has. Nobody else round here seems to give a fig about unwanted kittens!

Thanks in advance.

Sounds like neither is done. Does the female have an owner?

I'm pretty sure the girl isn't done, she was trying her best to tempt him 🙈. Wouldn't surprise me if the boy isn't done either. Apparently she has an owner but I'm not convinced. I've picked up a stray from there before, it's a bit of a magnet as food is easy to come by and loads of shelter.

Well can you at least pick her up and get her done?

userxx · 06/06/2018 20:08

Need to establish if she does have an owner but yes I can get her. She's nervy so I need to try and gain her trust first.

If they're both out and about the deed might already have been done!

I would get her done regardless. If she does have owners they are irresponsible and you'd be doing them, and more importantly the cat, a favour. You have every reason to believe she is stray so you can't get into any trouble. And it doesn't matter if she is already a bit pregnant, but you can't leave it too long.

If you can't touch her then she will need to be trapped. You could tray CP or any other local charities. Some vets can also lend traps.

I don't suppose you're in London.

@thecatneuterer CP and all the other places round here don't even answer the phone, there is an answer machine message saying they are full. It makes my blood boil when stupid people don't neuter their animals. It's pretty friggin basic. I know someone who works at an animal charity and he took the last stray I found, it was only his connection that got her in.

I'm up north, not just whippets up here.
