summer nights

Is anyone else having problems getting their cats in at night just now?
I think my two take it in turns to be the bugger who won't come in!
15 year old girl kept dashing off in the dark garden the other night.
14 month old girl has just learned to hunt and was a right pain tonight.
Thankfully both in now though I had to grab my youngest Grin

Fortunately, only one of mine goes out on her own and mostly she's good at coming home in the evening. But she is taking her last territory turn later as the weather improves and the days get longer. Her favourite place is on the verandah roof, but she comes thudding down when I call her in for the night for treats

It's the warm nights I think as both are usually good at coming in but tonight young girl is annoyed and sulking in the bathroom just now

Even Snorg has turned into a rebel. She just sits there when I call her in.

Yes! My 2 year old will come running when my daughter calls her, but she was out at cat-bedtime last night, and the cat completely ignored me!
She did come in eventually but I was getting really worried- she's such a teenage brat (cat not daughter!)

Ive started taking the cat food up after he’s eaten half & he comes in around 8pm.

I feel mean but it stops him getting run over or getting into fights.

A few dreamers when they come in is always my trick. If you are happy to have them on a bed do it in bed then they just snuggle down for the night.

Lonecatwithkitten · 27/05/2018 07:48

That would be dreamies damn spell check.

I love having them on my bed. The baby one curls up next to me all night but she's starting to behave like a teenager now wanting later curfews!
I think they were both glad to be in last night though
Young one didn't enjoy the storm!

The storm has hit us this morning- both cats cuddled up with DH in bed for ultimate security!
