Kitten morning routine

Hi everyone!
Our gorgeous 14 week old kitten is perfect, except one thing.
Every morning at about 5am, she mews at our bedroom door. She used to be allowed in our room but she weed on our bed twice (does anyone have any idea why?) so she’s limited to the hallway and downstairs for now.
When we go to her at 5am, she trots in he kitchen, and then usually doesn’t want any food or the like, but instead wants cuddles for ten minutes, then she settles back down for two-three more hours.
Or, she trots down and proceeds to wolf down the food that she had out all night.
We have a feeling she maybe doesn’t like to go into the kitchen at night, and therefore doesn’t eat? We’re not 100% sure she sleeps at night.

The kitchen is the home of her food and water and some toys, her litter tray is in the bathroom.

Are there any solutions or tips to deal with the above, maybe to get her into the kitchen or train her to wake up later, or should we just accept our new early alarm clock?

My cat is nearly 2. He wakes me up every morning without fail at 4.30 am to be let out. They are our masters in afraid Wink

Both of my cats were the same. We now lock them in the livingroom with food and water, the have a cat flap so they can go outside whenever they want to.

I think 5am is very reasonable for a kitten, she is actually letting you have a bit of a lie in, it's often 3 or 4am. This is what they do, she just wants to be with you. Piddling on the bed was probably just anxiety about a new home or marking her territory. You don't need to leave food out for her overnight, maybe just a few biscuits and she may be up all night playing and exploring, has she got toys and cardboard boxes in the lounge. She sounds gorgeous, have you got the obligatory photo,😻 I wouldn't hold out much hope of training her to get up later.

Try having her in the bedroom again. She’s probably lonely and it’s light at 5am so she thinks it’s time to get up.

Thanks all, here’s Bailey!

I think we will try and let her back in with us, just concerned about our sheets!

I’m happy to accept my slave status to this cutie!
