Kitten with a cold

My kitten has had a cold for 3 weeks now, is this normal?
He’s fine within himself, is eating and drinking plenty and always up for playing but he still sneezes. He gets sore eyes too which the vet gave me some drops for.

I guess I’m just wondering how long you would expect a cold to last?

Could it be hayfever. My cats get a bit of it. Piriton worked wonders for Snorg.

I didn't think cats could get colds. Flu yes, but that's generally more serious than what you describe. Allergy, possibly. What did the vet say?

Has he been vaccinated recently?
One lot of foster kittens I had last year all got cat flu symptoms from their vaccinations; vet thought it was likely because their mum had been a cat flu carrier so the cat flu vaccination brought out their symptoms. They were generally fine, just had eye discharge and were a bit sneezy. They got antibiotics and eye drops.

It's not a cold, though.

I'd say cat flu too. My lad got a mini version of it while he was recovering from an injury despite being vaccinated.

Oh I hope it’s not cat flu! Isn’t that really serious? He’s had all of his injections. The vet said it was a form of cold and gave him some eye drops, said to wait for it to pass. I’m going to take him to a different vet and get a different opinion.
