Is Spring Fever a real thing in cats?

Dcat has been acting strangely lately. He's skittish, not cuddly, hunting constantly and doesn't seem to want to spend any time indoors.
If he spends any time inside, he's pawing at the windows to get out or staring intently through the glass. Does anyone else's Dcat do this in Spring? This is the second spring I've had him only it didn't seem so bad last spring. He's been neutered so he's not pining after the lady cats (I don't think!?)

My cat has been exactly the same - and he's been neutered too! My girl cat ponders around but isn't too fussed about whether she goes out or not, but the boy meows and sits by the windows to go out and runs out of the front door occasionally

He just sits next to other female cats in the area, there's one next door he seems to be besotted with 😂 I also think it's the weather, he likes sunbathing too and will just lay in the garden... sorry if this doesn't help!
