My cat is an arsehole

She's small, tabby and looks like butter wouldn't melt but she's an utter arsehole. This time of night/morning is her 'race around the house at the speed of light and make as much noise as possible' hour, doesn't bother me as I'm a night owl so usually up, DC and DH could sleep through an earthquake and only adjoining neighbour is deaf but she's taking it to extremes tonight.

She's just knocked the ironing board on top of me while I was emptying the tumble dryer and I'd only just come down from picking up all the bottles she's managed to knock off the shelf in the bathroom. WIBU to boot an indoor cat out for the night? Well yes, because I'd only sit up all night worrying she wouldn't come home! It's a good job she's funny and loving and basically adorable the rest of the time because this time of night she's an utter knob Grin

I think all cats are knobs. One of mines sleeps on the bedside cabinet, but only on the right hand side. And if I’m not facing her I get bops to the head. Can’t sleep on the left with my husband. She’s also a greedy shit and can secrecy the fridge door opening from wherever she is. And she can only sleep if she is under something so she sleeps inside a pillowcase on the side because I’m daft enough to let her.

Sometimes she comes in the bath and try’s to lay on me without getting wet like it’s a fun game. One wrong move and I’m spaghetti. Doesn’t play with any toys at all apart from bells.

They can be 'challenging' shall we say

My (usually OK) cat is a complete arsehole today.

We're having the downstairs toilet wallpapered....

... They filled up a massive bucket of water, ready for wall-paper paste.

= cat rushing into it and the water going EVERYWHERE.. and then looking at me, when I cleaned it all up with a towel as if to say 'Ha! Serves you right for changing my domain'

So - Chucked (delicately placed) him, his litter tray, his food and water into a room upstairs so he wasn't in the way and for the first time in 2.5 YEARS, he's decided he doesn't want to use his litter tray and wants to pee everywhere else instead.

I remain firm, and resolute and would rather clean up cat pee than give into his tantrums...... Plus, I don't want him to knock more stuff over!!!!!!!!!

I feel your pain.
