So, erm, Enid’s a boy...

Took kitten for jabs today, and voiced my suspicion that she might be a he. I am correct - vet reckons he was a late developer Hmm. So back to the drawing board for names! (I’d keep him as Enid, but have been overruled by DH and DSs). Has anyone else had a surprise like this?! It’s very hard to stop calling him ‘she’, even after a week!

Maybe Enid is a girlon the inside

Onceuponatimethen · 15/05/2018 19:47

Eden?

Sagegreen · 15/05/2018 19:47

Blyton?

acornsandnuts · 15/05/2018 19:48

Ned. Just drop the E.

ImAGoofyGoober · 15/05/2018 19:48

A photo would help Wink

MsHomeSlice · 15/05/2018 19:49

yes, E's Ned! :o

NC4Now · 15/05/2018 19:51

Nedi

AwkwardSquad · 15/05/2018 19:52

Ned. Unless you live in Scotland.

LanguidLobster · 15/05/2018 19:53

Ned Grin I remember your other thread.

An ex colleague had a sex change operation, think Colin to Colina (along those lines) but I still find it difficult to refer to him as her.

mayhew · 15/05/2018 19:58

Eric

AveAtqueVale · 15/05/2018 19:58

I like Ned! And Eden is a good suggestion. DH wants to call him Thor Confused. Here is pic.

Ned is nice. Or Geraint was the husband of Enid in mythology.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 15/05/2018 20:10

Oh goodness not Thor! Ned sounds nicer.

overnightangel · 15/05/2018 20:11

Far too cute to be a Thor!
Have you asked him what he identifies as? 😁

ScreamingValenta · 15/05/2018 20:11

He's beautiful! He has a lovely little face. I like Ned of the names you are considering.

Omnomnomnivore · 15/05/2018 20:21

Aw he looks like Toothless from How To Train Your Dragon! Ned is cool.

flowersWB · 15/05/2018 20:29

This happened to me once. He was called Bob and it stuck so she was just called Bob too/instead. Made for an amusing conversation now and then.

AwkwardSquad · 15/05/2018 20:36

One of my childhood friends had a boy cat named Emily. Same situation but they didn’t change the name they’d originally given him. It suited him.

mookinsx · 15/05/2018 20:38

Nelly?
I like ned
However I also Thor - don't hate me lol!

strawberrypenguin · 15/05/2018 20:39

Earnest

halfwitpicker · 15/05/2018 20:39

Alan (Rickman /Snape)

FusRoDah · 15/05/2018 20:44

So cute OP - this is my little furball 4 years ago, like you I was originally told he was a girl and then the vet set me straight! We had to do some hasty renaming too.

I think Ned or Eric for your ball of fluff Grin

Crocky · 15/05/2018 20:46

He looks more like Loki than Thor.

Toddlerteaplease · 15/05/2018 22:22

Someone On here had a cat called Emma, that turned out to be a boy. It got nicknamed 'not emma. I think not Enid sounds great!
