Lily’s Kitchen

My two young rescue cats adore their food, and I generally feed them two pouches of James Wellbeloved wet food each per day (which they seem to enjoy) plus some Thrive dry food as an extra.

The other day the James Wellbeloved ran out so I bought them a box of Lily’s Kitchen food to try instead, thinking they’d wolf it down. However, neither of them will touch it! I’ve tried it for three meals now but they’ve just completely left the whole bowl, give or take a few bites - which I’ve never seen them do before. I’m surprised as I thought it was meant to be a real treat for cats! Does anyone else’s cat turn their nose up at Lily’s Kitchen?

Hi Demented Pixie, yes I think it’s the page style that put them off - it’s quite a different consistency to what they’re used to!

Not page - pate!

I have to mash up pate style food with warm water to create a more soupy consistency before my cat will deign to eat it.

My cat didn't like Lily's either, which was a shame.

My three won't touch it, but they've never gone for pate textures. If I'd read the labels properly I wouldn't even have bought it! As it is I've got 4 trays left, and wonder how I can make it interesting for them. They don't like soups either so Olinguito's suggestion is out, sadly.

Mine love Lily's Kitchen, but not as much as Applaws. Until they decide they don't like that and want any other generic cat food

Mine loves Lilys Kitchen but i do notice she doesnt always eat it all in one go

Mine hate pate consistency. You could mix some of it with her dry if she eats dry? My friend does that.
